Rickie Fowler, Maverick McNealy, and Keith Mitchell Compete for Leadership Positions
The PGA TOUR has officially announced the three candidates running for the Co-Chairmen positions on the 2025 Player Advisory Council (PAC). These key positions play a vital role in advising the PGA TOUR Policy Board and Commissioner Jay Monahan on matters affecting professional golf and the overall direction of the TOUR.
Candidates for 2025 PAC Co-Chairmen
The Player Directors have selected professional golfers Rickie Fowler, Maverick McNealy, and Keith Mitchell as the nominees for the PAC Co-Chairmen election. The voting period is open to PGA TOUR members and will conclude on Monday, April 14, at 5 p.m. ET. The two candidates with the most votes will assume positions on the PGA TOUR Policy Board starting January 1, 2026, replacing outgoing Player Directors Peter Malnati and Webb Simpson.
New Governance Structure for PAC Leadership
Beginning in 2026, the PGA TOUR will transition to a revised governance structure that elects only one PAC Chairman annually. The winner of the 2025 election will serve a four-year term as the PAC Chairman, while the runner-up will take on the role of PAC Co-Chair for a three-year term. This change aims to create better governance alignment, ensuring stability and continuity among the six Player Directors on the PGA TOUR Policy Board.
Commissioner Jay Monahan emphasized the importance of these changes, stating:
“By refining our governance process to align with recent organizational developments, we are enhancing continuity within our leadership structure. This will enable the Policy Board to make more informed decisions more efficiently.”
